Workshop Formats

You can literally make great progress in any subject with the right workshop recipe. However, as with cooking, some recipes work quite quickly, while others take a few days to take full effect. We therefore talk about sessions (less than 1 day), workshops (2-3 days) and trails (more than 5 days).

SESSION

You see a specific challenge and want to set a strong impulse. One day is all you can afford so book a session.

A session includes:

  • Target agreement call

  • Team onboarding call

  • Workshop facilitation

  • Digital documentation

  • On-site or remote delivery

WORKSHOP

Your challenge needs design work. You want to create clarity and work directly on solutions. Plan on spending minimum two days to workshop with us.

A workshop includes:

  • Target agreement call

  • Stakeholder interviews

  • Team onboarding call

  • Workshop facilitation

  • Digital documentation

  • On-site or remote delivery

TRAIL

Your challenge is complex with one theme leading to another. You can work intensively with us for at least five days in a month, then build or book your trail.

A trail includes:

  • Target agreement call

  • Stakeholder interviews

  • Team onboarding call

  • Workshop facilitation

  • Digital documentation

  • Handover call

  • On-site or remote delivery

FAQ

Q: Do I have to book an entire trail?

A: No, it depends on the scope of your challenge and on how much time you can spend with us. An entire trail consists of different sessions (up to 1 day) and workshops (2 to 3 days), which build on each other. However, each element can also be booked individually. You can also bring in your own topics and we create your individual trail.

Q: I have a different topic. Can you still support?

A: Absolutely! Our passion and is workshopping, no matter the topic, industry or function you are working in. We are sure we can help you make a big step forward, contact us to find out how.

Q: Do you work on all managerial levels?

A: Yes, we know from experience that workshopping is the right choice for C-level, just like for line managers. Whenever you face a situation where there are different opinions or simply uncertainty in the room, an experienced, neutral facilitator makes the difference. We typically interview key stakeholders beforehand to know about possible tensions and avoid pitfalls.

Q: We are not familiar with the format. How do you onboard people?

A: We always do an onboarding call with the team to explain them the idea and mechanics of our workshops. If we work virtually, we make sure everybody knows how to navigate in the whiteboard software before we start.

Q: What happens after the workshop?

A: You will receive within short notice a complete documentation of results, as well as the decision-making process, recorded on a digital whiteboard. This gives you a living document that you can easily share and edit.

Q: Can you support me with implementation?

A: We are happy to be your sparring partner during implementation, but just like in workshopping it's your ideas and hence your execution. That being said, we can support in two further ways: creating internal buy-in with management, and passing you on to implementation experts that we trust in.
